About the Designer:
Sarah Elizabeth Eastep was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. She studied Fashion Merchandising and General Business at Lamar University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Sarah has been designing jewelry since 1997, and she founded Maneki in 2005.
Sarah’s designs are usually described as delicate and feminine. She loves tiny, pretty things. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys making things, reading, writing, and spending time with her boyfriend, who designed this site.
What is Maneki?
The name Maneki comes from Maneki Neko, or “Lucky Cat.” These good luck cats are often found at the entrances of businesses, and they are said to beckon happiness and good fortune.
