another blog giveaway!
I know, I know…I said Thursday, and here it is Friday afternoon. I’m late! So I decided to make it up to you by choosing one of my favorite necklaces for the giveaway this time.

So, on to the giveaway…around here, it is starting to feel a little bit like fall. I mean, look what I found today:

Of course, in Austin, fall just means that it’s not hot anymore, but everyone is starting to take advantage of our little change in seasons–sweaters, boots, and leggings are all starting to pop up. It’s great! I love dressing for cooler weather. But I want to know what YOU love about dressing for cooler weather. For this contest, all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog entry, telling me what you plan on wearing as the temperatures go down (or if you’re lucky enough to live somewhere with a real fall, what you are already wearing).
Same rules as last time:
♥ Be sure to leave a good contact e-mail in the comments form (don’t worry; your e-mail address won’t be visible to anyone except you and me). Entries without a valid e-mail address will be disqualified–I need to find out how to get you your necklace!
♥ Only one comment per reader, please
♥ This giveaway is open to US addresses only
♥ Winning entry will be chosen using the random number generator at random.org
♥ All entries must be received by Friday, October 30th, at 5:00 p.m. CST.
♥ Last contest’s winner is not eligible for this contest (sorry, Nadine!)
Good luck!

I can’t wait to wear my black leggings with my knee high brown suede fring boots or blacl leather riding boots. I miss Chicago!

I am wearing a ratty looking sweater thing right now, but as soon as I get my grey winter coat dry cleaned (which should be soon) I’ll be wearing that. I should do that soon though because we’ve had some days when it gets down into the 30s and I’m sure more of that can’t be far behind. Plus the grey coat looks cute!

I have two versions of my fav winter wear! Daytime look: my tall very worn in uggs, comfortable shorts and an old college sweatshirt (so old I like to call it vintage). Nighttime look: sweater wrap with a warm wooly cap and boots. I’m happy to no longer be living in Miami so get full use out of a winter wardrobe again!
Ps- bought the feather necklace at the Dallas urban bazaar for my sister in law and honestly considered keeping it for myself. Hubby has been sent the link for the upcoming holiday season!

I love wearing scarves! For some reason, I feel like my face is cuter when I have fabric covering up my neck. It’s not that I think my neck is ugly… I’m just inexplicably more attractive with a scarf on!

I’m in Colorado, so I am already wearing knit hats and scarves, mostly the hats. I’m in my Mike Nesmith phase.

Boots, boots and more boots!!! Old beat-up brown Doc Martens, new tall black suede ones, polka dot rubber boots for rainy days, my mom’s hand-me-down black biker boots, high-heeled boots with buckles, and more. I love them all, and can’t wait until the temp gets below 70 degrees so I can bust them out! I’m in Dallas, so it’s not even really cold yet, but I have been wearing my boots already

that necklace is gorgeous!
my favorite thing about fall is tights! i have been wearing colored and patterned tights for years and i dont plan to ever stop. i had been wearing some of my heavier warm weather skirts with tights, but its getting kind of cold now even for that, so i wear them with jean or tweed skirts or dresses with cardigans, and usually my knee-high boots for a little extra warmth. today im wearing a black wrap dress with a pink & white polka dotted cardigan, teal tights, and black knee-high boots.

fall in santa fe is a much kinder fall than where i grew up in michigan. in santa fe, fall means color – particularly golden yellows of the turning aspens…. and the same color as a beloved pair of boots that i own. THE single thing i love wearing in fall is a great pair of boots. after a long, relentlessly hot summer (filled only with sandals, sandals, sandals), it’s so nice to pull on a pair of boots! dressed up with a skirt or casual with a pair of jeans, boots seem to take an ordinary outfit to the next level. well, boots and the right accessories, of course!

It’s finally cooling down in Fort Worth and I love wearing long sleeve shirts, jeans and scarves. I’m really enjoying being able to wear clothes without having them stick to me!
