My husband and I used to go to Cabo every year for 13 years of Valentine’s Days until we had our first and only baby two and a half years ago. And with her, we have Valentine’s Day every single day!

  2. Katie Horbal Says:

Two Valentine’s days in a row now my boyfriend has broken his knee and both times he has managed to go out and get me a present or make me dinner(dispite my nagging to stay in bed). This year im hoping for a more lucky Valentine’s day but it will be amazing as long as im with him. :D

  3. Ryann Says:

Growing up, my mom and I would back heart shape cakes for Valentine’s Day — funfetti, strawberry, vanilla with pink icing, tons of sprinkles. We would then deliver them to our friends and neighbors. That’s how I learned Valentine’s Day is more about telling ALL the people in your life how much they mean to you.

Thanks again for your re-shipment of my earrings… I’m hoping they get here before the weekend, but we’ve just gotten ~40 inches of snow in the last week here in DC! Love your jewelry, will definitely consider around Mother’s Day and my sisters’ birthdays =)

  8. Molly Says:

I’m not the type of person that expects a lot for Valentine’s Day…just a sweet gesture will suffice. A few years ago my boyfriend at the time surprised me with homemade chocolate-covered strawberries. They weren’t the prettiest things ever, but I could tell he spent a lot of time on them…they even had a white chocolate drizzle on top.
To this day, they’re the best chocolate-covered strawberries I’ve ever had.

  9. Krystal Says:

I love that Valentine’s day is actually in honor of St. Valentine who illegally married lovers. He ended being killed for his love for lovers, and he earned his sainthood as not only the patron saint of lovers but also of beekeeping!

  10. Jernee Says:

When I was young and idealistic (hehe:), I used to be “anti-Valentine’s Day” b/c it hurt me to see those around me who weren’t in a romantic relationship be extra sad about what they didn’t have, but wanted so badly. Now that I’ve grown up (a bit:), I appreciate the day for all its sweet nuances & the fun symbolism behind it. Instead of the regular every day hugs and “I Love Yous” I try to share, I can add cute valentine cards & make messages with conversation hearts when showing how much I care and appreciate those around me.
Happy Valentine’s Day, and make sure those you care about know you love them every day (even when you’re mad at them :) !!!

  11. Laura Says:

The weirdest Valentine’s present I ever got had to be a drop of blood (it “came from his heart”). I love your jewelry!

  15. Whitney Says:

For six years the week of Valentine’s Day was always a period of intense emotion for me. During that time my fiance was in the Navy and more often or not he would be out of state or even overseas for that period of time. To make it even more poignant, my birthday is the day after Valentine’s. Now that he has joined us back in the civilian world, I am ever so grateful to have him here to share these special days with. He still after almost 8 years has flowers delivered to me at home or my work. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful person who loves me. I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s day and an enjoyable Presidents Day!! (because that’s obviously a very festive day :p)

  16. Crystal Says:

  18. Lyndsey Says:

Last year my boyfriend was working as a server at a restaurant on V-Day, and he was going to get off work really late…so I ordered a valentines meal deal with heart shaped pizza and chocolate fudge desert from a pizza joint. He LOVES pizza and LOVES chocolate…and I knew he would be tired when he got home, so I thought it would be a nice treat. I oredered it as late as I could so that it would be there hot when he got home. Well, they forgot the chocolate dessert and the pizza was cold. So I called them and raised bloody heck because that was the biggest reason why I ordered the dang thing!! They apologoized but said they could not send out another delivery guy because they were closing soon. I was so angry…needless to say I never ordered from them again. So I got in the car and drove to 3 different places trying to find my bf’s favorite candy. Finally found it and I was happy. Then my boyfriend came home with a stomach ache so he didn’t eat anything anyway.
Anyway, great job on the jewelry (LOVE LOVE LOVE)!! Come back to Shecky’s!

My husband and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day because of the proximity to our birthdays, but a few years ago he sent me flowers at work the day before with a note saying “Happy Tuesday. I love you.” I thought it was the sweetest thing ever.

  20. Andrea Says:

Hi Sarah….so glad I will be able to see you on Saturday! I like to pretend that every day is Valentines…that’s why I give so many hugs…just trying to spread the love!

  22. Terri Says:

My favorite valentine’s day was when I was in 6th grade. We gave carnations at school to each other as part of a fundraiser. When I got home, I had about a dozen of them. My mother, who was an assistant principal at the time, encouraged me to take them and give them away to the younger kids in the neighboorhood. Many of those kids because loyal friends later in life.

  23. Amber Says:

I am just starting to love love and therefore love Valentines Day. I am no longer a cynic. Yay for me, and thank you to him!

  24. Rachael Says:

I think this is beauuutiful. :)

  25. Carley Blackman Says:

Valentines day has all ways held many meaning for me. Most filled with anxiety of being a young girl in elementary class. We would make brown bags decorated with our names, hearts with the hopes of getting a valentine from someone special. It ends up that the ones that were really special were my best friends, whom I still keep in touch with. I would give something huge to see some of those valentines from my friend Tami, or my good friend Jen – it seems that friends are the ones that stick with me through valentines day weather I am single or not! I do enjoy valentines day, whether it is with a “I hate valentines day” party, with a broken heart or just loving whom Im with – Happy Valentines Day everyone – xoxo

  26. dan Says:

I’ve been with my girlfriend for two years now.

  27. Jenni Says:

When I was about 12 I remember feeling very grown-up (and fairly embarrassed) when my dad gave me my own Valentine’s gift. He got me a flowery camisole and I felt like a lady!

  28. Melanie Roland Says:

I love your jewelry and this necklace is love. This V-day I will be single and actually working. Craziness! I would love to have this as a lovely gift to myself

  29. Ima Peccable Says:

That’s a beautiful necklace and it would be perfect as a gift or to wear myself. ^^

  30. Amber Says:

This will be my first Valentines Day with an actual Valentine! Thank God for creating love! Because I love it! :)

  31. Deanne Says:

When my husband and I were dating, i used to send him care packages while away at college, and i used to stuff them with glitter and confetti. I rigged his one valentines day package to throw it everywhere when it was opened, and we still find bits of confetti in things even over 7 years later!
